In this talk
A Dhamma talk and question-and-answer session by Ajahn Dtun at BSV in Australia (dated 18 March 2023 in the upload title), with English captions, published by Wat Boonyawad.
Ajahn Dtun addresses a mixed audience in Australia, including monks from nearby monasteries, with English captions of the Thai talk. He sets out the path in order, starting from right view: suffering arises in the mind, not in a country. Keeping the precepts closes the outlets of body and speech. Concentration then gives the mind strength to take control. Mindfulness and wisdom turn first to the body, seen through its elements as elements that come together, change and break apart, and then to feeling, memory, mental formations and consciousness.
About 48 minutes in, questions start, taken in the hall and online. They cover karma, consciousness, rebirth and the stages of the path. He also describes his own training, including how long it took to let go of attachment to the body and the visions that arose during it.
