Corrections

When a published page turns out to be wrong in substance, we fix it and list the change here. Small wording and formatting edits are left out.

  1. 17 October 2026

    Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo

Her official biography says she was born in England and grew up in Bethnal Green; the page had said she was born in London. It now also says full ordination for women is still not available in the Tibetan tradition, not that it was not available then.

  2. 17 October 2026

    Nagarjuna

The page said he gave his name to the Madhyamaka school. The school is not named after him; it now says he founded it.

  3. 17 October 2026

    Bodh Gaya

The Mahabodhi Temple was described as cut stone. UNESCO says it is built entirely of brick.

  4. 17 October 2026

    Wat Pa Sutthawat

The page said Ajahn Mun spent his last years here. His biography has him stay briefly from late 1941, live his last years elsewhere in Sakon Nakhon, and be carried here on his last day.

  5. 17 October 2026

    Wat Ram Poeng

The main hall was said to date from 1492. The temple was founded then and its main Buddha image bears that date; the hall was built in the 1970s and later rebuilt.

  6. 17 October 2026

    Wat Chedi Luang

Ajahn Mun's rains retreat here was dated to the 1920s. Ajahn Lee's autobiography places it in 1931.

  7. 17 October 2026

    77 Thai places and teachers

Every Thai page was checked sentence by sentence against its sources: 692 claims, 72 corrected and 14 removed because no source we read supports them.

  8. 13 October 2026

    13 Chokling Tersar pages

Eleven teacher pages and two monasteries of the Chokling Tersar lineage were checked sentence by sentence against their sources. Overstated lines were rewritten to what the sources say, and lines no source supports were removed.
