Thanissaro Bhikkhu (born Geoffrey DeGraff, 1949) is an American Theravada monk in the Thai Forest Tradition’s Dhammayut Nikaya. He trained in Thailand under Ajahn Fuang Jotiko (himself a student of Ajahn Lee Dhammadharo) and later helped found Mettā Forest Monastery in San Diego County, California, where he has been abbot since 1993.

He is a prolific translator of the Pali Canon into English. Large selections from the four main Nikāyas, and seven of the fifteen books of the Khuddaka Nikāya, are freely available at dhammatalks.org and Access to Insight. He has also translated the teachings of Ajahn Lee, Ajahn Fuang, and other Thai Forest masters, and is the author of book-length studies including The Wings to Awakening and The Buddhist Monastic Code.
