Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche on working with fear of an uncertain future by labelling the fear, relaxing, separating what you know from what you do not, and staying positive.
Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche starts from the point that the future has always been uncertain, then offers three ways to work with anxiety about it. First, notice the fear as it arises and label it as a thought or feeling, seeing how many unrelated thoughts have been added to it. Second, relax the mind, with the breath or meditation. Third, reflect on what you know for certain and what you do not, and list both. He ends by suggesting you look for what positive use a difficult situation might have. This is a short talk, not a guided sitting.
