A live question-and-answer session with Sharon Salzberg for participants in her Real Happiness Meditation Challenge, opening with a short guided meditation.

Sharon Salzberg’s director of operations introduces the session, and Salzberg explains how the challenge grew out of her book Real Happiness. She leads a meditation of about seven minutes on sounds, the body and the breath. She then answers participants’ written questions: how long to sit through pain before moving, using long out-breaths and lovingkindness during panic, how to respond to someone who makes work a negative place with the Buddha’s story of the refused gift, meditating through grief, dedicating merit, teaching children, practising in a noisy home and meeting self-criticism when the mind wanders.
