Dhamma Sudhalaya (Dhamma Sudhālaya, “Dhamma House of Ambrosia”) is a Vipassana centre in Lat Yao district, Nakhon Sawan province, in the lower north of Thailand. Dhamma.org calls it the eleventh centre in the country teaching Vipassana as taught by S. N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin. It says the centre was founded in 2019. Both dhamma.org and the Thai Vipassana site say ten-day courses began in 2025; the Thai site gives June 2025.

The centre sits on 16 acres, about 330 kilometres from Bangkok and 46 kilometres from the provincial town, away from the nearest community and surrounded by quiet farmland. It is a young centre with a short record, and dhamma.org publishes little beyond its location and schedule.

The schedule shows ten-day courses and one- to three-day short courses. Dhamma.org gives English and Thai as the default languages of instruction unless a course says otherwise. At the time of checking most ten-day courses were not marked Thai speakers only, but some courses were.

A ten-day course follows the format in the Code of Discipline. It spans twelve days counting arrival and departure. Students keep Noble Silence, meaning silence of body, speech and mind, until the morning of the last full day, with men and women kept apart. They take five precepts and see the teacher in set interview hours. Dhamma.org’s introduction describes the practice as starting with the natural breath and widening to the changing nature of body and mind. Recording devices and cameras are not allowed.

Courses run on donations only. Dhamma.org says gifts are accepted from people who have completed at least one ten-day course in this tradition, and a first-time student may give at the end. Applications go through dhamma.org, and Thai students apply through thai.dhamma.org.

Visiting

This is a course centre, not a place to drop in. Read the Code of Discipline, then apply through the dhamma.org schedule page and wait for notification. Courses run on donations.
