Ajahn Brahm guides a meditation of about 25 minutes, recorded at the Friday night session of the Buddhist Society of Western Australia.

The recording opens partway through the evening’s announcements. Ajahn Brahm describes a charity auction of a signed cricket ball, with the proceeds going to the second phase of the Sanctuary of Stillness meditation centre in Melbourne. The meditation itself starts at about 3:30.

He guides a slow body scan from the toes upward, narrating how he checks and adjusts each part (legs, waist, digestive area, chest, shoulders, fingers, neck, face) and relaxes tension with kindness, then joins the whole body and notices the pleasure of being comfortable. He moves to the present moment, drops naming and planning, and falls silent. About twelve minutes of silent sitting follow, ended by a short reflection on what made the mind peaceful and what disturbed it, and the gong.
