Part 8 of 8 · The Four Noble Truths Retreat
Ajahn Sumedho's brief closing words at the end of the retreat in Singapore, as the eight precepts give way to five.
Ajahn Sumedho speaks at the closing ceremony on the last day, as retreatants give up the eight precepts for the five and ask forgiveness. He repeats the retreat’s main point, to trust awareness, and says the five precepts can serve as a guide in daily life. Anger, fear and jealousy still arise, and being aware of them is the refuge. He thanks the monastery, a senior monk there and the team that organised the retreat. The recording is about four minutes.
