Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche as guest speaker on Jangchub Shing, a weekly Bhutan Broadcasting Service television programme that presents the Dharma to Bhutanese youth.

In this episode of the weekly BBS programme, the host first presents a ten-minute biography of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and the Khyentse lineage, then interviews him in English. He explains the Buddha as a historical prince and as innate nature, and sums up the teachings as the three trainings in discipline, meditation and wisdom. Further questions cover contentment, emptiness (illustrated with a rainbow), the difference between relative and ultimate truth, karma and dependent arising, Buddha nature, and how the five poisons relate to wisdom. He speaks to Bhutanese youth about education, pressure and volunteering, offers words on those who have lost someone to suicide, and recommends contemplating ordinary activities such as drinking tea.
