Part 3 of 3 · Three Important Exercises
Phakchok Rinpoche teaches the third of three daily exercises, repeating that the nature of mind is pure, and describes the three together as ten minutes a day.
Phakchok Rinpoche teaches the third exercise. He separates pride from dignity, which he defines as knowing that the nature of mind is pure, not made by parents or by a god. The practice is to repeat for three minutes that the nature of mind is pure, meaning free of ego, judgment and pain.
He ends by putting the three exercises together as ten minutes a day, likening them to an umbrella in the rain, and says the combination is what he calls the Buddha in the heart. He describes doing them each morning after offering flowers, water and incense.
