Part 3 of 6 · The Four Seals of Dharma
Third session of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche's series on the four seals: the seven branches, refuge and bodhichitta, published by DharmaSun.
Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche says the Dharma must work as a remedy to afflictive emotions, then explains the seven branches: prostration, offering, confession, rejoicing, requesting teachings, asking teachers to stay, and dedication. He gives reasons for taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
He then turns to bodhichitta, the wish that beings be happy and free of suffering, noting that wealthy and famous people are often unhappy through attachment and aversion. He names love and compassion as the cause of happiness and the strongest means of purifying karma.
