Part 5 of 6 · The Four Seals of Dharma

Fifth session of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche's series on the four seals: karma, meditation and seeing experience as a dream, published by DharmaSun.

Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche recalls the four lines of the Buddhas’ teaching: avoid harm, practise virtue, tame the mind. He suggests resolving each morning to refrain from harm, explains why avoiding the ten non-virtues closes the door to the lower realms, and says prayer and offerings are not enough without training the mind in meditation.

He describes seeing experience as a dream, an illusion or a rainbow, which loosens fixation and lessens negative emotion. He tells a story of a mother’s attachment to her baby, and says seeing that all suffering comes from attachment gives rise to compassion. The captions are rough in the second half.
