Part 6 of 6 · How To Meditate
Part six of Yuttadhammo Bhikkhu's How To Meditate series: the precepts and moderation that support practice, and noting in daily life.
Yuttadhammo Bhikkhu closes the series by returning to his comparison of meditation with medication: some things must be avoided for it to work. He lists the five precepts (not killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying or taking intoxicants) and three things to take in moderation: eating, entertainment and sleep. He then gives two ways to carry noting into the day: the body’s postures and small movements, such as “walking”, “standing” and “brushing”, and the five senses, noting “seeing” and “hearing” rather than judging. He thanks viewers and ends the set.
