Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, Kathmandu

Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche · 9h 37m in all

Thirteen sessions in English by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche on Nagarjuna's Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, taught in Kathmandu in October 2015.

The text is Nagarjuna’s Yuktisastika, a short Madhyamaka work in verse. Rinpoche builds the case that nothing truly exists, using definitions of existing and being true, the dream elephant, the aggregates and dependent arising, with regular question periods. Later sessions place the teaching within daily practice, the expedient and direct meanings of the Buddha’s words, and the schools behind the debate, and close with the final stanzas.
